Charm Cape

We made upcycled  hoodies!

I want these to feel like a magical cloak of comfort that will snuggle you right through your day. And, you're charming. So we're calling these the Charm Cape.

Many of these hoodies (unless they're vintage) are a cotton / poly blend, which tilts our balance away from all natural fibers. Still, I believe they are absolutely worth saving, and we are having a ball doing it. I hope that wearing them is as much fun as making them has been. 

Charm Capes are worn layered and open, with the option to tie the hood strings in a knot or bow if you would like. They are cut to land around the hip, and they have a softly curved front hem. If the original sweatshirt had a hood, we leave it as is, and for the crewneck sweatshirts we have sewn new hoods.

This Charm Cape was created from a cotton sweatshirt that I hand dyed in deep moss green. There are dye variations and patterning throughout. The pockets and hood are stitched from vintage cotton with a multicolor small garden print. The bias binding and hood strings are made from vintage cotton that I hand dyed to a light green stripe.

This one is more heavyweight than the others, and has a very fun boxy shape. The original swaetshirt was made in Portugal and felt very high quality, was most likely passed on because of the stans that I covered up with the dye.

The best way to ensure a good fit for you & your Flux Bene is to flat measure a similar garment that fits you well (however you like a garment to fit). Compare the full chest / waist / hip measurements to the measurements listed on the tag in the final photo. 

Because all materials have been pre-washed, you don't need to worry about your Flux Bene shrinking or stretching. All are machine washable and can be tumble dried.
